I remember being five years old and watching Star Trek on our television, subtitles on. It\u2019s even how I learned English. I remember being fascinated with the spaceships, the aliens, the technology. I remember Geordi LaForge effortlessly explaining the concept of lightspeed, or Data explaining his philosophical concept of self-awareness. But mostly? I remember enjoying every second of it.<\/p>\n

I, Logan, am a high school drop out. Couldn\u2019t take the information in, couldn\u2019t cram history in my head in a week. I was too busy hanging out with my friends and railing against my parents. Now I\u2019m almost thirty and I\u2019m trying to build this company.<\/span><\/p>\n
Ten years ago I didn\u2019t understand the chemical composition of our atmosphere, or how my digestive habits would influence my body. I couldn\u2019t possibly have told you how iron is in our blood, or how it helps with oxygenation of our bodies. I can now.<\/span><\/p>\n
And the beautiful thing is that I didn\u2019t consciously learn any of this, nor did I learn it solely from Star Trek. I learned it because media got me interested, it got me searching and reading. Science Fiction shows and movies brought up concepts that intrigued me. Spanning all fields, from Physics to History to Philosophy. Science Fiction has the potential, above all, to bring difficult subjects to the table and make them easily digestible. Science Fiction has always been about the potential of the future. In most of our entertainment history, it\u2019s been about the potential of the human race, perpetuating the idea that the universe revolves around us. <\/span><\/p>\n
In my experience, a lot of people in the world seem to think the world revolves around them. It seems as if they are often misinformed, unaware or undervalued, causing them to think that way. And all of our brains have the potential to understand so much, from our own psychology to how we\u2019re socialized and educated, to what swear words to use in the right situation. But it often requires a lot of effort on our part to take all this information in.<\/span><\/p>\n
And for all I\u2019ve just talked about learning, I really don\u2019t want to teach anyone anything. <\/span><\/p>\n
I\u2019ve noticed that for all the knowledge being available, there\u2019s at least as many gatekeepers of that knowledge. And the public generally can\u2019t access it. Even when we can, its use of language is well beyond the average layman. Bringing all these intelligent people, scientists, academics, and artists together removes those gatekeepers and allows us to build a truly interdisciplinary and intelligently researched universe, to intrigue you through entertainment. And to make our universe a cohesive, realistic whole.<\/span><\/p>\n
Blue Falcon wants to make something that entertains. First and foremost, we want you to enjoy \u2018The Coalition\u2019, as a universe and as a game. We hope that the stories we\u2019ve conceived will entertain you and the concepts in it will fascinate you. But the best way, we think, to achieve that is to base everything in reality. We don\u2019t want to slap highbrow concepts in your face and expect you to accept or understand them. Instead, we want to make those highbrow concepts understandable, digestible and truly entertaining.<\/span><\/p>\n
